DON'T MESS WITH THE ROAD

Messing with so many things and getting away with them is a natural human behavior, we want total freedom on everything, even, on what is not right. Thank God the rule of law was established to regulate things - still, the selfish instinct of infringing on each other's right is still entrenched in our system. But please don't infringe on the road's right, in other words  "Don't mess with the road". Because if you do, Hmmm! It'll never spear nor forgive you, neither will your vehicle nor its passengers be ready to compromise when you're being brutally dealt with. As patience as the road is, it never forgives. When you do things within the ambience of ROAD TRAFFIC LAWS you're automatically a 80 percent safety gadget for your safety and safety of other road users.

If, however, you think you're too smart to drive without regards for others on the road. Good for you when the road gives you a chance of a fair hearing, this happens when you have to slug it out with another driver or Okada rider [motorcyclist] as to, who have the right of way and you end up wasting your time and spending unbudgeted money either to fix your vehicle or someone else's. As for pedestrians, the road is patient and accommodating, but it doesn't recognize your problems. It recognizes that some reckless drivers will not have regard for you as road users, some will be distracted, while some will drive under the influence of alcohol and it also recognizes that vehicles are machines that can fail unexpectedly. It will accommodate you under safety guidelines to guide you through your activities on the road, e.g. pedestrian crossing [foot bridge], zebra crossing etc... For those of you who walk majestically on the road as if it's your compound, know this "Safety never goes on any journey, just as accident never goes on vacation".
                                                                                                                                                                                                                           
Taking care of your safety on the road is one of the ways you preserve your health. Anytime you get on the road, do the right thing and the needful to be safe. If you act as an impunity king of the road you put yourself and others in danger. "Safety on the road is safe tea at home'' when you are not safe on the road how will you get home safely. we're all a stalk holder in this business of road safety, except if you are not a moving object. Road accidents happen every day, lives are being lost daily, some are getting crippled by the minute and you think it's none of your business, maybe you should confine yourself to the four corners of your house.
