Activating #SafetyWhenDriving. The need for this hash tag is evident in recent happenings on road traffic crashes here in Nigeria, around Africa and the world at large.
#SafetyWhenDriving is not about the word safety or driving has a separate entity, but the two, forming an alliance of performing the act of driving to be safe.
Safety when driving is not just about the phrase of 'driving to be safe', it also includes the pre-driving condition of proper maintenance of your vehicle [s] - checking all the safety system before hitting the road and obey the safety rules of the road.
The above explanation is the fundamental part of safe driving as I wouldn't be doing justice to the topic of this post if there is no explanation whatsoever on safe driving. Back to the topic at hand.
#safetyWhenDriving which is simply keeping the awareness of safe driving alive - letting the conversation continues with the aid of a hashtag. Hashtags have become a frequent usage of social media to create an awareness on something/keeping a conversation going. It greatly serves the purpose it meant for when properly used.
The goal of hash tag safety when driving is to have this simple and life saving message creating Road Safety and safe driving culture, consciousness and awareness in the minds of road users.
Using #SafetyWhenDriving in your posts, status updates and comments on social media is automatically making you an advocate of Road Safety and a humanitarian ambassador. Because you're sharing a life saving message, reminding others to be safety conscious on the road.
Mind you, it doesn't conflict/disturb the original thoughts, feelings etc. That you're sharing with your audience, it's just a symbol and combine three words to finish off your posts - #SafetyWhenDriving.
Anytime you use the #SafetyWhenDriving you're telling your audience to be road safety conscious and drive safely, who'll in turn tell another person [s] through the sharing and the likes of your posts. This creates a kind of chain reaction to keep the awareness alive and the conversation continues.
Road Traffic Crash can happen to anyone, it could be me/you. We're all a road user, connected to the use of the road one way or the other, either as a driver, a passenger or a pedestrian. So, frequent usage of hash tagging safety when driving [#SafetyWhenDriving] to finish off your posts, comments etc... Is a humanitarian gesture to humanity. Keep the awareness alive and let the conversation continues..
